Throughout my music video I want to tell a story about communication and how different people communicate regarding having a disability or not, therefore my choice of song is Ed Sheerans you need me, I don't need you. I feel this song portrays the story I wish to tell.
My first initial planning mechanism was to listen to the song numerous times to create a timeliness of sequences in my head. This is a very different way of install planning but it works best for me. I then printed off the lyrics and started to annotate different lyrics and what's going to happen when and where (please see pictures below). The different types of communication that are going to be incorporated into my video are as follows: romance (couple flirting), Internet (social networking), braille, mobile phones, and sing language on hands, dancing and sign language.

You need to have chosen your song by now and have a clear concept. Add the lyrics timeline and begin to analyse the song in terms of lyrics and musicality. Will your video be illustrative, amplifying, disjunctive? will it be performance based or narrative? This needs to be up here by now! Get on the case. Ms Keenan
