Digpack

Today during my media lesson I chose to focus on my digipack, I firstly decided to research and look into other digipacks for some inspiration. I noticed that many of the digipacks I researched used colours related to the type of artist they are, for example The Trevor Nelson Collection digipack has used greys and whites as his colour theme, as he is a chilled souled R&B DJ he has chosen colours that reflected this. I also really like how there is just one single picture of himself laughing; this looks like a very natural happy pose, which links back into his colour theme. I really like how they have reflected the tone of the songs on the digipack through the colours used, I think I am going to use black and white as a colour theme- black to represent the darkness of particular scenes/parts of the music video for example when the colour is being bullied and she can't take it anymore so has decided to commit suicide, and then the white would represent the clear happiness in scenes like the couple having a laugh together on the sofa.

I think am going to take images from my music video and use them in my digipack, the reason behind this is because i am calling my digipack 'You Need Me' which is the name of the song I am going to use, the particular images i am going to use is sign language to represent the word 'You' the image of the girl in the bath for 'Need' and then an image of the young boy dancing to reflect the word 'Me' I am then going to take a dark picture of my lead actor with his guitar, i have decided to name my artist Luke Sheeran, the reason behind this is because my leading actor who is repeated throughout the music video numerous times on his guitar is called Luke, I then chose Sheeran because I have used Ed Sheeran's song.

  1. I think you should include small pictures of the digipaks you take inspiration from, like the Trevor Nelsson Collection so that we can see what you are talking about and how your digipak is similar to it.
You could also show the stills from your video that you are thinking of using to help you show your choices and decide which ones look the best.
