During the making of my music video I am going to experiment with different types of shots, I’m going to do this so I know which particular shots and angles work best and which don't work as well.
One feature of communication which will be used in my music video is braille, for this particular scene of the music video I will use a close up. I have chosen to use a close up because i want the audience to notice that the actor is reading braille, also this will make the audience think because they are unaware of what the actor will be reading.
I have also chosen to add in a wide shot, this is particularly for the dancing scene, as I am also planning on having a spot light on the dancer I want the audience to see what is going on in the scene.
Another type of shot I am going to use is a medium close up. I am going to use this particular camera shot when showing 'water writing' on the hand, this is different and a very un heard of type of communication for people who can't see or speak, this is very unique and although my music video is demonstrating amazing music I also want to engage the audience with the story I am trying to get across that just because you may not be able to communicate verbally with others, there is a way of everyone communicating with everyone.
Can you be more specific about which shot types you intend to use and why? Using specific terminology.
ReplyDeleteCould you upload your pitch as presented in class? Also, please add some more visual examples of the look and feel you are aiming for in your video? For example, lighting, colour, mood, styling, hair, make up. Create some mood-boards, brainstorms, prezi or similar to communicate a visual concept.
ReplyDeleteYou could also add some videos as examples or photographs, for example of your braille book. Experiment with the camera and add examples of your test shoots.
ReplyDeletePlease add labels to your blog, eg. Research and Planning. You should have around 10 posts for each by now, including your timeline and your resource audit.
ReplyDeleteCan you upload visual examples of these shot types? Maybe link to this post now that you have shot your video to illustrate.
ReplyDeleteAlso please consider how your selection of shot types influences meaning and representation of social groups in your music video.
