So far so good!!
I have been one of the lucky ones who picked computer number seven and have had only minor setbacks using premier elements, I have just had to be patient and just keep rendering my work.
I have been very surprised how quickly I have got to grips with using premier elements as I feel I am not the most technical student amongst my fellow year 13 media class.
Premier Elements is a fab way of editing videos, it is also very easy to pick up and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in need of ‘friendly’ editing software. I think that I have picked up using premier elements so quickly mainly because all the tools you need are labelled clearly. For example I needed some sort of transition to add in to my music video to not show the obvious jump to the next clip, at the bottom of the screen there is an icon called Transitions, I clicked on that which then brought up various types of transitions which also showed an example of what it will look like, I have used various transitions in my music video and I feel it mixes it up a bit instead of a one long flowing video.
Another tool which I came across whilst editing my music video on premier elements is being able to change the colour of my music video; I have to admit I was rather shocked that you could do such a thing! but it is very cool! I loved trying various colours out to see if they fitted in with my music video, but unfortunately none of the colours fitted in with the theme of my music video.
If you are a newbie to Premier Elements just as I was, I would recommend playing around and getting to grips with everything first! Not only does this build your confidence with Premier Elements but you may also come across a tool you really like and would want to incorporate into your own video.
Can you reflect on why this is? Is the software user friendly? Are you gaining in confidence when using technology?
